Final Essay
An essay will count for your Final Exam Grade. Essay! How many paragraphs? How many ¨quotes¨ do I need? We´ll answer (and correct) all of these question by next week. Still, begin thinking about what you might like to write about and begin drafting Wedenesday. Here are some possible essay topics:
- the Way as seen Tao Te Ching versus The Analects
- a compare of Njal or Gilgamesh with Jesus in the Gospel of Luke
- contrast Confucius' gentleman versus Jesus in the Gospel of John
- compare Moses and Arjuna
Or explore any of these themes in two works:
- filial piety
- theophany
- original sin
I am also open to other ideas. These are just to get you started thinking, or in case you're stumped.
Your essay does not have to be any particular length, but as usual your development of ideas and your ability to analyze texts in depth will be assessed. Remember to be as specific as possible in your analysis, so it reads as a complete essay.

Mr. Tangen,
I've decided my topic as "The differences in the view of learnign in the Tao Te Ching and The Analects of Confucius."
Is that a good topic?
Mr. Tangen,
I wanted to know if the differences between believing in many Gods like in the myths and in only one God like in the bible is a good topic.
